tummy pleaser...

the time of year has come...we are all burning yummy fall candles, turning our heat on for the first time and dusting off our crock pots for the long winter ahead. i stumbled upon this recipe the other day and it sounded SUPER yummy and it looked SUPER easy...a perfect combo in my book! the name of the soup is "Panera's Cream Cheese Potato Soup" however, it should really be called "Awesome-ness in a bowl"! i give this recipe two thumbs up (and rick did too...he enjoyed 3 bowlfuls!)
Panera's Cream Cheese Potato Soup

Ingredients 4 cups chicken broth 4 cups potatoes, peeled and cubed 1/4 cup onion, minced 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt

1/4 teaspoon white pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cut into chunks

Directions Combine broth, potatoes, onion, and spices. Boil on medium heat until potatoes are tender. Smash a few of the potatoes to release their starch for thickening. Reduce to low heat. Add cream cheese. Heat, stirring frequently, until cheese melts.

**I think that next time I make it I am going to add a can of corn...doesn't that sound dee-lish??

ENJOY FRIENDS...we sure did!
