many of you know the story of my sister-in-law christa who passed away last November from oral cancer...well yesterday would have been her 33rd birthday. i thought it would be a neat idea to have the kids send balloons up to her in heaven. so we went and got her four "shiny" balloons and a card to send up to her. we go out in the driveway to send the balloons up and they just went skipping down the driveway. ok...not what i had planned. so i load kaiya up in white lightning and head down to the grocery store to buy 6 latex balloons because that will for SURE take the card up. then we headed up to the park to release the balloons...
we sang happy birthday to her and released the balloons...so sweet. up, up and away they go...
until a big wind comes and lands them in a tree...UGH!
at this point i had two choices...to laugh or to cry...i chose to laugh about it because that is what christa would have done! now every time i drive by the park i will look for the balloons and be reminded of this day and my beautiful sister-in-law. we love you and miss you christa! XOXO

Wow, what a touching story. She is probably in heaven looking down at you guys and laughing right along with you. I obviously didn't know her, but what a neat thing to do to celebrate her birthday.
