school days...

well...today was the day. inside jackson's trendy pottery barn backpack was his spiderman lunch box with a heart shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwich, carrots with ranch dressing and a juice box...and of course i had to slip him a lil' love note wishing him a fun first day back at preschool! he had a BLAST and is soo pumped that this year he gets to ride the bus to school!

after school we posed for a picture...so hard to believe that this is his LAST year of preschool!

then we began a fun new family tradition of going out for a "back to school" dinner...restaurant of his choice! rick and i tried listing all sorts of FUN kid's places we could go...red robin, happy joe's, etc but none of those places apparently sounded good enough for him. so we ended up at...

the play area was a lil' grimy but all in all we had a fun time... looks like this school year is off to a FUN start!
